The diamond-studded Lamborghini Aventador isn't Shinichi Morohoshi's only spectacular customization - but it's by far his wildest.

Customizer transforms 7-figure Lamborghini by covering it in 1,350,000 Swarovski crystals

It’s amazing the lengths people will go to to stand out from the crowd.

A man in Japan dropped $2 million on a new Lamborghini Aventador.

As if that wasn’t enough, he then forked out a further $1.35 million covering the supercar in 1,350,000 Swarovski crystals.

Shinichi Morohoshi is known for his spectacular customizations, but this Lamborghini Aventador is by far his wildest.

The supercar – which has a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph) – couldn’t be any further from your average Lambo.

After making the purchase, the Tokyo-based king of custom Lamborghinis modified the car by fitting a Fighting Star body kit.

It’s an aggressive looking kit, that’s all one line, from the wing to the fin.

He also fitted a set of Lexani wheels, and a muffler and LED lights that are also custom.

That wasn’t all, though, as Morohoshi-san’s team then spent nine painstaking months hand glueing 1,350,000 Swarovski crystals to the supercar’s bodywork.

From the body to the roof, spoiler to the diffuser, every inch of the car is covered in them.

The wealthy businessman has built an impressive collection of Lambo models over the years.

His garage includes a Diablo Super Veloce, Murciélago Roadster, Murciélago Coupe, and an Aventador Anniversario.

And, just like his latest acquisition, they’ve all been extravagantly modified with body kits and, of course, Swarovski crystals.

He’s even been known to take his supercars overseas to places like Italy, where crowds cheer and gesture for him to press the horn.

Admittingly, his customisation work isn’t to everyone’s taste – especially Lamborghini enthusiasts.

But the truth is, anyone can buy a supercar, and it says precisely nothing about them.

A dazzling collection of Lambos tells you everything you need to know about Morohoshi – and how little he cares what people think.

The brand new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is here.

An icon of the 1960s, the supercar is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful cars of all time.

It’s the brand’s first custom-built car since 1967, and it’s extremely limited.

Alfa Romeo will make just 33 examples of the new road-going 33 Stradale, and no two will be alike.

Each buyer will be given the opportunity to customize their Stradale down to the smallest detail.

But if you were hoping to snag one, you’re out of luck, because all 33 examples are already spoken for.

Alfa Romeo says it will be available to buyers with both EV and ICE powertrains.

The brand said it wanted to link the internal combustion engines of the past together with the electric future.

This supercar isn’t just beautiful, it will will give drivers racecar performance on the road.

Alfa Romeo says both the EV and ICE models will have a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph) and will go from 0 – 100km/h (62mph) in less than three seconds.

To help keep weight down, the car will have a carbon fiber and aluminum roof.

Underneath that, you’ll find a beautiful retro-modern body.

The front features the roundness typical of Alfa Romeo with the unmistakable V on the bonnet.

The profile of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is sleek and dynamic, with side air intakes and classic butterfly doors.

Alfa Romeo says it designed the interior with aviation in mind, so the inside of this supercar looks like the cockpit of a jet.

Alfa Romeo’s CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato announced the new supercar on Twitter, describing it as “a creation that lives up to our past and serves our brand”.

While the CEO said it was the brand’s first custom-built car since the 1960s, he promised it would not be the last.

The driver of this Bentley decided to park extremely close to a very rare and expensive Porsche 918 Spyder.

The video is going viral for all the wrong reasons, causing viewers to cringe.

READ MORE: Ford F150 Raptor and Jeep Gladiator come up against Tesla Cybertruck in new size comparisons

The hood of the Bentley Continental GT is about an inch away from the tail of the Porsche.

The Porsche 918 Sypder hybrid in the video is worth a mind-melting amount of money too.

It costs around $845,000 new, but sells for around $2 million today, making it the most expensive Porsche production car ever.

The car is also seen rocking an expensive custom number plate.

The Bentley is nothing to sneaze at either.

It’s a limited edition and one of just 100 models costing around $315,000.

That’s about $113,000 more than the ‘standard’ model.

The nail-biting clip, posted by supercar enthusiast and TikToker Cloudycards, is unsurprisingly making people go crazy in the comment section.

“Too close for comfort,” one said, to which another said “I think that he can pay for that bro”.

Luckily the parking didn’t end in a boggling bill.

The video concludes with the driver revving his Porsche 918 Spyder through the busy streets of London.

This is the new Mercedes AMG GT63 and despite its familiar face, it’s been built from scratch and is completely new.

Supercar Blondie’s Sergi Galiano had the chance to experience it in the metal in California.

Check out the full video below.

This is the second generation AMG GT, the great-grandson of the Mercedes SLS AMG and the child of the first generation AMG GT.

Design-wise, it follows exactly the same language as its predecessor, but Mercedes has made a few changes.

The new grille is bigger, the headlights are new, and the carbon fiber front splitter is also new.

On the side, it has new 21-inch wheels with carbon-ceramic brakes, and at the back, you’ve got a new carbon fiber splitter and new tailpipes.

The new carbon fiber spoiler is bigger than ever before, as is the space in the trunk.

In fact, this car has the largest trunk of any sports car of its kind.

There’s enough space for a human being in there, and we know that because Sergi personally tested this.

The interior was revamped as well.

It has plush leather upholstery for the seats and the dashboard, and a new floating touchscreen display.

You’ve got two gauges, one on either side of the steering wheel, to adjust the driving mode with the right one, and the suspension setting and exhaust valves with the one on the left-hand side.

The engine is a 4.0-liter biturbo V8, delivering 577 horsepower.

A slightly less powerful model is also available, rated at 469 horsepower.

Later this year, Mercedes will also launch a hybrid variant.

Pricing for the Mercedes AMG GT63 will be revealed at a later date, but expect a price to be between $170,000 and $190,000 for the base model.

The new Pininfarina B95 is the world's first electric hyper Barchetta

Something really exciting just landed at Monterey Car Week.

Automobili Pininfarina has unveiled the world’s first electric hyper Barchetta – the breathtaking new Pininfarina B95.

With flowing open-topped bodywork and exquisite details, it’s exactly what a modern day interpretation of a classic racer should be.

READ MORE! Curtain finally lifts on the all-new Zenvo Aurora

Design

The B95 makes its world premiere alongside the recently revealed Battista Edizione Nino Farina hyper GT and the PURA Vision design concept.

And it’s the latter from which the Pininfarina B95 draws its inspiration.

The B95’s pronounced wheel arches emphasise the aggressive shape and power of the vehicle.

You’ll notice that from above, the B95 features no glasshouse.

It’s been designed with a surrounding loop, which incorporates the seats, aero screens, and domes behind each passenger.

Speaking of which, the Pininfarina B95 features the world’s first electronically adjustable aero screens.

Taking inspiration from vintage fighter planes, their design features exposed aluminum.

These can be raised and lowered by passengers to improve comfort while preserving design integrity.

Power and performance

Now the bit you’ve been waiting for – what’s under the hood.

The Pininfarina B95 is powered by the same powertrain as the Battista hyper GT, but the unique vehicle’s been given a unique tune.

With the tune, the B95 will accelerate from 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in less than two seconds and go on to a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).

That speed comes from a high-capacity 120 kWh lithium-ion battery which generates a whopping 1,877 horsepower.

The T-shaped battery pack, which is liquid-cooled, is protected within a strong lightweight carbon fiber house.

It can be charged using DC fast chargers up to 270 kWh – for a 20-80 percent top up in as little as 25 minutes.

Power is delivered to the road via four independent high-performance electric motors – one driving each wheel.

There’s a choice of five driving modes to tailor the driving dynamics: Calma, Pura, Energica, Furiosa and Carattere.

These are activated via a tactile, sporty rotary selector located next to the steering wheel.

Pininfarina B95 price and availability

Just 10 examples of the B95 will be made, each one meticulously curated between the Automobili Pininfarina design team and the buyer.

Basically, no two will be the same – but that exclusivity comes at a cost.

The world-first pure-electric hyper Barchetta will be priced from €4.4 million ($4.79 million).

Curtain finally lifts on the all-new Zenvo Aurora https://supercarblondie.com/zenvo-aurora-danish-hypercar-officially-unveiled/ Wed, 16 Aug 2023 13:10:31 +0000 https://supercarblondie.com/?p=57842 Danish hypercar maker Zenvo has just unveiled the all-new Zenvo Aurora

Danish hypercar maker Zenvo has just unveiled its lightest and most powerful model ever.

Danish hypercar maker Zenvo has just unveiled the all-new Zenvo Aurora

The Zenvo Aurora has officially been unveiled on the eve of Monterey Car Week.

There’s been chatter about the all-new Danish hypercar for some time now.

But, the curtain’s finally been lifted – and it’s all and more than we expected.

READ MORE! Bugatti Mistral receives golden touch ahead of Monterey Car Week

For starters, two variants of the Zenvo Aurora have been launched simultaneously – Agil and Tur.

Translated from Danish as ‘Agile’ and ‘Touring’, one’s a track-focused high-downforce version, while the other’s designed for road use.

Clearly, the brand understands that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work with hypercars.

But, despite being very different cars for very different drivers, both models offer the same thing – heaps of power.

Power and performance

Both Zenvo Aurora models have a 6.6-liter quad-turbocharged V12 engine developed by MAHLE Powertrain.

It’s a bespoke powerplant, mid-mounted behind the cockpit, producing a hefty 1,250bhp and revving to 9,800rpm.

But, there’s more, as it’s also got a lightweight electric motor system linked to it, generating up to 600bhp depending on drivetrain configuration.

The Agil’s rear wheel-drive system features a single integrated electric motor generating 200bhp.

Meanwhile, the four wheel-drive setup – standard on the Tur and optional on the Agil – adds a further electric motor to each of the front wheels offering 1,850bhp.

The result seamlessly blends instant power and torque, delivering naturally aspirated engine-style throttle response.

Not only that, but it makes the powertrain the most powerful V12 engine ever fitted to a road car.

Design

Despite being built around the same chassis and powertrain, the Agil and Tur are set up very differently.

With a more aerodynamically aggressive stance and profile, the Agil is the lighter weight, more track-focused model.

As such, it features underbody aerodynamics and a high-level rear wing with air brake function.

As you’d expect, inside the cabin is stripped of comforts and unneccesary luxuries, with the carbon chassis exposed in several places.

Ultra-lightweight technical materials have been used to upholster the seats, doors, and dashboard.

This weight-saving approach means the Agil weighs in at less than 2,866lbs (1,300kg).

The more aggressive design delivers enhanced levels of downforce, producing 880kgs of downforce at 250km/h (155mph), and a top speed of 365km/h (227mph).

In other words, it’s an absolute track monster.

Meanwhile, the Tur is the grand touring variant, with a beautifully sculpted exterior and dynamics set up for stability and comfortable on-road driving.

The design also comes with a standard four wheel-drive system.

Basically, it delivers the same unwavering performance, but in a much more subtle and elegant manner.

Despite having a heavier drivetrain, the Tur’s more aerodynamically efficient shape will accelerate on to a top speed of 450km/h (280mph).

What’s more, its cabin is appointed with high specification, tactile materials and increased levels of sound proofing.

This produces a more traditional luxury GT environment for the occupants.

Zenvo Aurora price

Just 100 Zenvo Aurora models will be built in total – 50 examples of each.

Production is expected to commence in 2025, with first deliveries set for 2026.

As for cost, pricing is said to be from $2.84 million, although it’s believed the majority are already accounted for.

Bugatti is about to unveil not one but two gold cars at Monterey Car Week.

The post Bugatti Mistral receives golden touch ahead of Monterey Car Week appeared first on Supercar Blondie.]]>

Bugatti is bringing the good stuff to California, unveiling not one but two gold cars at Monterey Car Week.

In addition to the one-off Chiron Golden Era, the French-Croatian automaker is also bringing another gold car to the event.

It’s the new Mistral, and it looks fantastic.

READ MORE: Cristiano Ronaldo spotted in Madrid with ultra-rare Bugatti Centodieci worth $9 million

Both the Mistral and the Chiron Golden Era are designed to showcase what you can do with Bugatti’s bespoke program called ‘Sur Mesure’, which is French for ‘Custom Made’.

The new Bugatti Mistral is painted in a brilliant coat of gold.

Gold was also used for the engine cover and interior.

The seats and the dashboard are adorned with gold and black leather upholstery.

Only 99 Mistrals will ever be made, but this will be the only one in gold.

The Mistral is a big deal for Bugatti because it will be the automaker’s last model to feature the iconic 8.0-liter, quad-turbo W16 engine.

That’s the one that’s capable of delivering 1,600+ horsepower.

What type of engine is the next Bugatti going to use? We don’t know for sure, but it won’t be a W16 or possibly even a V8.

This is because around two years ago Bugatti was acquired by Croatian EV supermarker Rimac.

Mate Rimac, the new CEO of Bugatti after the merger, has vowed to keep using gas engines for as long as they can, so we know that the next Bugatti is unlikely going to be electric.

However, he also said that all future Bugatti models will use smaller, hybrid engines instead of the massive W16.

The $5 million ‘golden’ Mistral was created as a one-off for a mysterious Bugatti collector.

The car will be showcased and revealed to the public at The Quail, a motorsport gathering that’s part of the Monterey Car Week.

If you happen to be in California on August 18, you can head to Pebble Beach in Monterey County, to check out the beautiful gold tone Bugatti Mistral ‘in the metal’.

Built on commission for a collector, every component of the Bugatti Chiron Golden Era is inspired by the brand's history and the iconic W16.

This is the new Bugatti Chiron Super Sport ‘Golden Era’, a one-off Chiron that takes Bugatti’s ‘Sur Mesure’ customization program to the next level.

It took around two years to build, but it was well worth the wait.

In essence, the Bugatti Chiron Golden Era is a love letter to Bugatti’s W16 engine and the brand’s history.

It was designed for a Bugatti collector who’s absolutely in love with the W16 that powers it, and that means that every detail of the exterior and interior of the car is a tribute to it.

Bugatti Design Director Achim Anscheidt explained the whole idea behind the car.

“Our customer expressed that he believed the Chiron Super Sport and the W16 engine represented a landmark moment in the world of the automobile,” Anscheidt said. “He wanted to do something truly unique in celebration”.

At which point, the Bugatti design team came up with a fantastic livery that incorporates 45 sketches of the brand’s icons.

Each sketch was hand-drawn directly onto the car itself.

On the passenger side, you’ve got 26 hand-drawn sketches of icons such as the Type 41 Royale and the Type 57 SC Atlantic.

Meanwhile on the driver’s side, you’ll find 19 sketches of the EB110, the Chiron, the Veyron and, most important of all, a 3,712-piece representation of the W16 engine.

The car is painted using a bespoke shade of gold called ‘Doré’ and a metallic variant of Bugatti’s signature ‘Nocturne Black’.

All in all, the Golden Era took around 400 man-hours to complete.

The interior feels equally special, with two-tone upholstery in black and tan leather.

Six iconic Bugatti models, including of course the Chiron, are hand-drawn onto the door inserts.

To top it all off, the interior is also adorned with Golden Era stitching and one-of-one motifs.

Bugatti will hand over the Golden Era to its soon-to-be lucky owner at the upcoming Monterey Car Week in California.

He says that's the 'fiscally responsible' thing to do.

After getting trolled online for posing with a rented Ferrari, teen millionaire Dylan Huntley decided to respond.

In a short video he shared to Twitter, Huntley explained the many reasons why renting is better than buying.

READ MORE! Millionaire 12-year-old buys 6-figure Range Rover while shopping in Singapore

It all started with a different Twitter post in which Dylan Huntley explained “how [he] became a millionaire at 15”.

In one of these posts, Huntley is pictured leaning against a $260,000 Ferrari 488 GTB, which is great except the window dressing clearly shows a sticker from a popular rental company.

As you can imagine, Twitter users were quick to point that out, and some did so in a rather… crude manner.

A context box now shows underneath the photo saying “The Ferrari this individual is posing with is owned by the exotic car rental company ‘Cloud 9 Exotics’ – you can see the sticker in the window.”

The context box even directs people to the rental site’s listing of the exact Ferrari the teen was posing with.

Things got even worse when he shared yet another Twitter thread to explain his success.

“When the game Fortnite came out, I grinded hard. I played professionally for hundreds of hours and ended up making $25k.”

Then he said he also did day trading during one of Bitcoin’s bull runs.

The teen’s Twitter thread went viral, but not for the reason he wanted.

“Rental sticker still on the car. Can’t rent at age 15. Which means bro pulled up with someone else’s rental,” one guy said.

“You said you live next door to a golf course and you got a thousand-dollar loan from your dad… and you’re posing in front of a rented car.”

The video he shared to explain what’s going on contains some interesting details.

First, he says he’s been attacked because “people don’t like seeing a successful 16-year-old taking pictures in front of a rented supercar”.

This means Huntley is 16, not 15, as the previous posts he shared indicated.

Second, he says that renting is more “fiscally responsible”, and that way he can just give back the car and rent another one in a different location whenever he wants.

Once again, the comment section is a treasure trove, filled with both positive and negative comments.

“Which exotic car companies allow a 15-16 year old to rent and drive a supercar?” one user asked.

“Grown adults will now take financial advice from this child,” another one said.

Other users pointed out some of incongruities. “You are not renting, your dad is renting. You said you were 15,” a third user said.

Not all comments are negative, though. “Well said! Forget about the haters,” another user wrote.

Bugatti teases new version of Chiron with cryptic video and images

A cryptic video and images suggest there’s a new Bugatti Chiron about to be unveiled.

The French luxury sports car manufacturer is keeping tight-lipped about its newest model.

So, we’re somewhat having to read between the lines to make out what it could be.

READ MORE! Teen millionaire gets trolled online for posing with Ferrari 488 GTB from rental company

Starting with the images, they show a Chiron in profile with a shadow covering the car.

It’s hard to make out its color, however, it appears to be a shade of gold.

In the background there are arches and gold-tinged lighting.

Another clue is one of the hashtags that’s included in the post’s caption “#GoldenEra”.

This suggests the abundance of gold isn’t just a coincidence.

Something about the new Chiron seems related to either the color or the precious metal gold.

There’s a brief video included in the post, however, it doesn’t reveal any more of the car’s design.

It simply shows a person walking towards the supercar in the same setting.

Finally, sketches of the Chiron in gold on a black background with the artist’s hand visible are another teaser.

Unfortunately, that’s all we’re given, but we don’t have long to wait before the new Chiron makes its debut.

The automaker will be premiering the new supercar tomorrow (August 10).

And, in just over a week’s time, it will be on display at ‘The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering’, which starts on August 18.

In October 2022, Bugatti announced that production of the Chiron was almost done, with just 100 examples left to build.

So, it wouldn’t come as much of a surprise if the automaker had something special planned, aka a gold-inspired Chiron, as a farewell to the supercar.

Bugatti has confirmed that the Chiron’s successor will debut in 2024, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see that car.

However, it’s worth noting it’ll be the first new model from Rimac’s brand ownership.
