The new BMW i7 luxury sedan is the latest addition to the brand’s electric lineup and it takes luxury to a whole new level.
It combines impressive electric performance with a spacious, tech-packed interior to make it one of the best luxury EVs on the market.

Design
You can’t help but notice the large gloss piano black kidney grille at the front of the car, which is sealed because – obviously – it’s an electric version of the 7 Series.
What really stands out on the BMW i7, though, are the Swarovski crystal daytime running lights that have a ‘heartbeat’ effect to them or, as BMW puts it, an “iconic glow”.

Tucked beneath the daytime running lights are the car’s main headlights, which appear almost concealed.
This particular model, the BMW i7 xDrive60 M Sport Pro, features a host of extras.
They include 21-inch alloys wheels, gloss black trim, tinted windows, and M Sport brakes with dark blue calipers.
Renowned for being luxurious, the 7 Series is typically used by executives, celebrities and politicians.
But this model looks distinctly sporty and aggressive.
This could have something to do with the fact it’s an M Sport model, which means it’s got a gloss black diffuser and lip spoiler.
Another feature of this top-of-the-range model are automatic doors which, as crazy as it sounds, can be opened in several different ways both from the outside and inside.

BMW i7 interior
Moving to the inside of the BMW i7, immediately you’re greeted by swathes of Amarone Merino leather.
From the ‘Master Chair’, as a rear-seat passenger, you can control a variety of functions, including climate control and electric blinds via a touchscreen built into the door.
Not only that, but the rear seats recline, have heating and cooling, and massage functions.
What’s more, when you’re fully reclined in the lounge seats, you can use the touchscreen control to unveil a 31-inch theater screen which folds down from the roof.

It’s not just the rear-seat passengers who get the special treatment either.
Up front, the leather dash features a curved display with a 12.1-inch gauge cluster and 14.2-inch infotainment screen.
The dash is also inlaid with real wood and a crystalline glass look interaction bar, which is controlled by sweeping left or right, or by pressing to open and close the doors.
Performance
The BMW i7 xDrive 60 M Sport Pro tested is both all-electric and all-wheel drive.
That electric engine produces 544 hp and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.7 seconds.
According to BMW, it’s capable of between 367 and 374 miles range (~590-600 km), and has a charging time of 34 minutes (10 – 80 percent).

The BMW i7 starts from $119,300, however, the M Sport Pro model tested is priced from $169,269
The M Sport Pro model is currently only available in Europe.
